What Are the Symptoms of Menopause?
Before menopause, menstrual periods become irregular and this condition, called perimenopause, usually lasts for 4 years. Other symptoms of this period include:
- Decreased libido
- Hot flashes
- Sweating
- Increased heart rate
- Headache
- Vaginal dryness
- Painful intercourse
- Sleep disturbances
Some symptoms last for several years and affect a person’s life.
