The Fertility Rate in Yazd Is 2.6 Percent Higher than the National Average!

Referring to the capacities of Yazd province in the field of healthcare, the president of Yazd University of Medical Sciences said: “The fertility rate in Yazd province is 2.6 percent higher than the national average.”
Dr. Mohammad Reza Mirjalili stated at the second meeting of the Association for Determining the Operational Plan and the joint meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Medical Universities of the Seven Countries Region, which was hosted by Yazd, that the infant mortality rate in Yazd province is five per thousand.
Stating that in Yazd province, the mortality rate of infants under five years of age is 8.1 percent per thousand,

he added: “The fertility rate in Yazd is six and eight tenths,

which is 2.6 percent higher than the national average.”
Referring to the increase in the number of hospitals in Yazd province, the president of Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences continued by

saying: “This province has ranked first in the country in terms of the number of hospital beds and active doctors.”
In conclusion, Mirjalili, referring to the human,

scientific, research, and executive capacities of Yazd Medical Sciences, stated:

“Yazd Province has been ranked first in the national entrance exam for 23 consecutive years.”
